  1. Is Dr. Birlew the Only Physician on Site?

    Yes. This is Dr.Birlew's Urgent Care and Family Practice. He is here seven days a week.

  2. What's the Difference Between D.O and M.D?

    D.O. stands for Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. In the United States, physicians can have either the M.D. or D.O. degree. Both physicians have identical practice rights, and have nearly identical training except for additional training in the musculoskeletal system for graduates of osteopathic medicine school.

  3. Does the Office Close for Lunch?

    NO. We do not close for lunch because we have a rotating shift around the clock.

  4. Does Dr.Birlew Schedule Appointments?

    No and Yes. We are a walk in clinic, so we do not make appointments for patients. We only schedule appointments for annual physicals.

  5. What Do I Need To Do To Refill My Prescription?

    In order for you to refill your medication you must contact your pharmacy and ask them to please fax over a "Prescription Refill Request". Dr.Birlew has 72 hours to review and decide wheter or not to refill your medication. We suggest that our patients ask for a refill request one week in advance.

  6. If I Have A PPO (Prefered Provider Organization) Can I Make Dr.Birlew My Primary Doctor?

    Yes, as of the first initial visit you can refer to Dr.Birlew as your primary doctor.

  7. Is Dr.Birlew Accepting New Patients?

    Here at Stockton Urgent Care we consider ourselves a big family. We accept new patients year round.
